Welcome to the Carolina Cyber Network (CCN) Student Portal. The Student Portal
connects students with competitions, internships, mentorship, events, career
resources, educational opportunities, and other programs available through CCN
and participating organizations.
1. Your Account
You agree to provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your
account. Your account is for your individual use. You are responsible for
maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for activity associated
with your account.
CCN may suspend or deactivate an account when necessary to protect the Student
Portal, its users, or the CCN community, or when an account is no longer eligible
for access.
2. Appropriate Use
You agree to use the Student Portal for legitimate educational, professional,
and career-development purposes. You may not misuse the Portal, interfere with
its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, impersonate another person,
or use information obtained through the Portal in an unlawful or inappropriate
manner.
Students are expected to interact respectfully and professionally with other
students, educators, employers, mentors, CCN participants, and partner
organizations.
3. Opportunities and Third-Party Programs
CCN may share information about internships, competitions, events, employment,
mentorship, scholarships, training, and other opportunities offered by CCN or
third parties.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the availability of an opportunity through
the Student Portal does not guarantee selection, participation, employment,
compensation, eligibility, or any particular outcome. Third-party organizations
may establish their own requirements, terms, deadlines, and selection processes.
4. Your Information
CCN may collect and use information you provide through the Student Portal to
administer your account, provide Portal services, communicate relevant
opportunities and updates, support CCN programs, and maintain the security and
operation of the Portal.
You are responsible for keeping your account and profile information reasonably
current.
5. Communications
CCN may send account-related and program-related communications to the email
address associated with your account. Certain optional communications may require
separate consent.
Consent to photography, video, audio, media use, or text-message communications
is separate from this User Agreement when presented separately and is not required
unless specifically stated for a particular program or activity.
6. Portal Content
Content and resources available through the Student Portal are provided for
educational, informational, and career-development purposes. You may use them for
your personal participation in CCN programs and opportunities, but you may not
copy, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Portal content unless you have
permission to do so.
7. Availability and Changes
CCN may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue Student Portal features, resources,
or programs as the network evolves. CCN may also update this User Agreement when
necessary.
Minor updates that do not materially change your rights or responsibilities may
not require renewed acceptance. If CCN makes a material change to this Agreement,
you may be required to review and accept the revised version before continuing
to use the Student Portal.
8. Ending Your Access
CCN may suspend or terminate Student Portal access for misuse of the Portal,
violation of this Agreement, security concerns, loss of eligibility, or other
reasonable administrative purposes.
9. Acceptance
By selecting “I have read and agree to the User Agreement”
and creating your account, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree
to this CCN Student Portal User Agreement, Version 1.1.
