You do not need to know everything before you compete. The National Cyber League gives students at every experience level a place to practice, solve problems, learn from mistakes, and see how their skills are developing.
The NCL Gymnasium is open now with guided challenges from previous competitions. It is a learning and preparation environment where you can explore areas such as network traffic analysis, cryptography, log analysis, forensics, password cracking, and web application security.
Before registering, ask your cybersecurity professor whether an NCL license is available through your school and how to receive it. Your professor can also tell you how your school is organizing individual and team participation this fall.
