Member Portal Use & Intellectual Property Agreement

You are agreeing to use CCN resources for authorized, non-commercial purposes and to provide proper attribution.

By accessing or using the CCN member portal, you agree to the following terms:

Authorized Access
You confirm that you are an authorized user affiliated with a CCN member institution, affiliate, or approved partner. Access is assigned based on your role and may be modified or revoked at any time. You must maintain your own account and may not share login credentials.

Use of the Portal
The portal exists to support collaboration, education, and workforce development across the CCN network. You agree to use it only for these purposes and in a professional manner.

You may not access systems or data without authorization, use the platform for unrelated commercial or personal activity, distribute harmful content, or share restricted information without permission.

Intellectual Property and Use Rights
Materials within the portal, including curriculum, tools, frameworks, reports, and templates, are created by or for CCN and may be supported by state or federal funding. Certain materials may be subject to additional use or attribution requirements based on those funding sources.

You are granted a limited right to use and adapt these materials for non-commercial educational and workforce development purposes in alignment with CCN's mission. You may share materials within your organization and, where permitted by applicable funding guidelines, externally.

You may not remove attribution, claim CCN materials as your own, or use them for commercial resale, consulting, or monetization without prior written authorization.

Attribution
All use or adaptation of CCN materials must include clear attribution to the Carolina Cyber Network, including the material title when applicable and the year of publication. Adapted materials must be identified as derived from CCN resources.

Confidentiality and Data Use
The portal may contain sensitive or non-public information. You agree to use all materials only for their intended purpose, maintain confidentiality, and avoid unauthorized distribution.

Materials are provided for collaborative and educational use within the CCN network and are offered "as is" without guarantees of completeness or suitability for any specific purpose.

Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including using a strong password and promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized access.

Ownership
Access to the portal does not transfer ownership of any CCN materials. CCN retains all rights and stewardship of its content, consistent with applicable funding requirements.

Users retain ownership of materials they upload to the portal. By submitting content, you grant CCN and other authorized users within the network a limited right to use, share, and adapt that content for collaboration, education, and workforce development purposes consistent with CCN's mission.

Monitoring and Enforcement
CCN may monitor portal activity to maintain security and compliance. Access may be suspended or terminated without notice if these terms are violated, a security risk is identified, or your affiliation changes.

Upon termination of access, you agree to discontinue use of CCN materials except where continued use is otherwise permitted under these terms or applicable funding guidelines.

Agreement
By clicking "Accept" or continuing to use the portal, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
